Datadog Track Clarifications

Hello - just wanted to clarify two items regarding the Datadog track:

1. Is it the demo LLM application, the observability monitoring strategy, or both that have to be powered by Vertex AI/Gemini?
2. Is the demo LLM application idea considered as part of the judging criteria, or is it solely the observability monitoring strategy being assessed?

    Here are the answers:
    1. The LLM Application has to be powered by Google Vertex AI or Gemini models and if possible (not a hard requirement) hosted in Google Cloud. The Observability Monitoring Strategy must be powered by Datadog.
    2. The focus is mainly on the observability monitoring strategy.

    Can I follow up on this question? As it is not clear what the deliverable is. Do we just have to setup Datadog Monitoring for our new/existing Gemini project? Or do we have to use Gemini to setup Datadog monitoring?

    It is the latter, you have to set up Datadog Monitoring for our new/existing Gemini project.
